Hear New Tracks from Upcoming Revocation Album

Guitarist and vocalist Dave Davidson shared his vision for their upcoming album in a recent interview with Distorted Sound Magazine.
“Our goal is always the same with every release, maintain the core elements of our sound while at the same time building upon those elements and expanding our boundaries,” he said. “We tend not to really think about the audience much when we’re writing. I think that’s why our fans respect the band and our music. We’re not trying to pander to anyone or fit into a certain popular scene; we just like to make music for ourselves first and foremost.”
“Monolithic Ignorance” and “Communion” are already proving to be perfect examples of the classic Revocation sound that fans revere. “Monolithic Ignorance” contains pure thrash riffs with an instrumental bridge and progressive twist, while Davidson calls the latter “the fastest song we’ve recorded to date.”
“While it’s blistering in terms of speed, there are also some proggy elements present to add contrast to the aggression,” Davidson told Metal Blade Records. “We can’t wait to bring these songs out on the road and perform them for different audiences all over the world. Great Is Our Sin is a new chapter for the band, and collectively we feel that it is our defining record to date.”
Great Is Our Sin will drop on July 22. Pre-order the album here.
The band will tour in support of the new effort on the Summer Slaughter tour that kicks off July 23 in Orlando, Fla. Dates here.
